I have to admit, I was super excited for Jennifer and Tim’s wedding day. I photographed Tim’s brother’s wedding a few years back and Jennifer had made it clear to me that I was always the photographer she had in mind to shoot her wedding. In fact, she booked me 22 hours after Tim proposed, how about that for persistence! Over the year or so of planning Jennifer, Tim and I developed an awesome friendship, I truly felt like I was shooting the wedding of an old friend, which is an awesome feeling.
I absolutely loved Jennifer’s style especially the beautiful dress which she had customized by the talented Rodney Philpott and the adorable cat-themed shoes from Modcloth.
Jennifer and Tim’s wedding and reception both happened at The Fluvarium, a charming intimate location with a ton scenery, a photographer’s dream.
When Jennifer and Tim discussed with me a ring shot on the flowers, I’m not sure this is what they had in mind, haha!
I felt a little like we were stepping into another time and country with that fog rolling over the hills, absolutely breathtaking!
Sometimes the most charming shots can be found in the most unlikely places, would you believe we are standing on a convenience store parking lot for this one?
In Newfoundland we know summer means flies, the pesky buggers. I decided to use them to my advantage though, the little lights bouncing around in the photo? light reflected from the flies!
